I think so, Brain, but if we have nothing to fear but fear itself, why does Eleanor Roosevelt wear that spooky mask?
@imba19 Yes..in my opinion Bottle Imp is best substitute with 3. Haggis is probably more LIKE Tichu, but having played both (and liking both) I find that I much prefer Bottle Imp and get a similar enough feel.
@cane Tichu is many things. It is a hand voiding game, a climbing card game, and a trick taking game. Many will argue that it isn't a trick taking game at heart, and while that may be true, it certainly does offer advantages for taking tricks (both points and the lead which so often helps you void your hand).
“Brothers, oh brothers, my days here are done, the Dornishman’s taken my life, But what does it matter, for all men must die, and I’ve tasted the Dornishman’s wife!”
"Oak and iron guard me well, or else I'm dead and doomed to hell." - Andal proverb.
Even if you buy Bottle Imp and dislike it (which I did) you can just add 55 pennies or other tokens and use the deck to play No Thanks! which I very much enjoy.
