This has served as an excellent intro to the game for me.

A few tips: A two-monitor setup makes solo play a breeze! Also, if you're going to play both sides solo you can just enter 'localhost' (without the quotes) as the IP address on the client side. Looking forward to getting comfortable enough with the game to start getting my butt kicked by real people online.
