I had to rewind the video a couple of times to even see this halo thing. Looks like it's only visible with the light at the right angle. And if it's a manufacturing problem (and as they have used bakelite, I can easily accept this), then why even mention it? It's not as if they can do something about it.

Well, I mentioned it because every time I look at them it bothers me. It's enough for me that I might not have purchased this had I known. It's hard to catch with the camera. It's pretty blatant when playing.

Also, the picture on the box doesn't have a halo around the black piece. You know, just saying .

Anyways, as noted in the video, it's something that stands out for me but it's probably a non issue for most normal people.

Hmmm. Just curious here - is it really enough to put you off? You did seem in the video to quite like the game. What exactly is it that bothers you about it?

Not sure how to answer without going around in circles. In the video I mentioned that I'm picky about my game components and want them looking 100%. Things like scratches, indents, warping, bending, ripping, tearing, water damage, missing pieces, and so on make me unhappy and stand out for me.

If something about a game's production doesn't jive with my standards I'll typically contact the publisher and see if they're willing or able to correct the problem.

Thus far I give SUPER high marks to Days of Wonder, Rio Grande Games, Z-Man Games, Filosofia/Asmodee Canada (when I finally figured out how to contact them), Queen Games, Eagle Games, Flying Frog Productions, Fantasy Flight Games, and Tasty Minstrel Games for being more than willing to correct any issues and always at no cost to me. These specific companies have shown a level of service, care, and trust for their customers that I didn't even know existed in the business world.
