Early Railways Series
The Early Railways series is a series of games designed by Martin Wallace and published by Winsome Games. The core of the system revolves around bidding for the right to construct track, and then delivering goods to various cities depicted on the maps.
The Early Railways games are all low-tech, with plain, but functional components, which is standard for the publisher. All of the games are now long out of print and hard to come by.
The Early Railways series is the progenitor of several later Wallace designs, and its core delivery mechanic is reused in games such as Volldampf, Age of Steam, and Railways of the World.
