Gioco dell'Anno is the Italian award risen from the ashes of the Lucca Games Best of Show in 2013. The goal of the Gioco dell'Anno is to promote and enhance the tabletop gaming as a cultural asset in families and society.
The award is organized into two categories, Gioco dell'Anno (Game of the Year) is the one dedicated to the board games. It is awarded annually by a panel of experts who evaluate the games published or distributed in Italy among the 1st of June of the previous year and May 31th of the current one.
