There are two meanings for No Way Home.
I bought some Heroclix off eBay and the seller assured me they would still ship to Australia despite USPS or whatevers Hang up on shipping down under.
So we shall see....
I got to see Spider-Man No Way Home this afternoon and man, was my mind blown!
Not to give away any spoilers, but if you are a fanboy like me you will be squee'ing with glee!
Hurry up Adam Warlock event for Marvel STRIKE Force!
They added the Web-Warriors to STRIKE Force too! Ghost-Spider, Scarlett Spider (Ben Reily), and Spider-Punk! to accompany Spider-Man and Miles Morales.
Makes me really want to get something happening in Crisis Protocol or Heroclix, I haven't gotten any games played this month at all, it's terrible!
A blog where I talk about my gaming in the Marvel Multiverse!

I've been stewing and contemplating over my game collection often of late - what I love, what I can sell, what I can't live without, etc.
But my Marvel games haven't even the slightest consideration of being parted from my collection.
I've been contemplating Marvel: Crisis Protocol and where to go with my collection, you see I'm not a very social gamer outside of my own room - Sure I invite friends to come and play with me, but they don't collect their own armies or really put in any investment outside of our game time.
I have thought about getting myself out into the community but with my social phobia (the least of all things considered) I really recluse myself at home.
I gave some thought to my collection and of what I wanted to do plus what I wanted to get, plus thought towards the new official changes - you know I have never played a proper game of Marvel Crisis Protocol with a roster of minis and cards and secure and extract objectives?
The majority of my playing has either been straight punch ups, or mostly Ultimate Encounters - namely All Will Be Metal against Ultron.
But I am fine with that, I actually give preference to the Ultimate Encounters.
Did a little assembly today, I bought these minis when they were first available to me but sat on them for ages.
And lets be frank, I bought them for Gwen Stacy / Ghost Spider - while I loved Into the Spiderverse and like Miles Morales, Peter Parker will always be my Spider-Man.
Did a little conversion work to Ghost Spider just to make her pop a bit more, such an awesome character should be more dynamic on the tabletop!
Very simple, but effective I think.
While initially, I was chuffed about my Spider-Man conversion, its really starting to grate on me now, I nearly bought a whole new box just so I could redo him the normal way, but instead I will get the new Spidey vs Doc Ock pack which has a better resculpt of him and also get The Amazing Spider-Man and Black Cat pack for a veteran stat'd version of him too.
Plus I REALLY want Black Cat.
Also, they are bringing out Ghost Spider for Marvel Champions: The Card Game along with Miles Morales in the next campaign box, Sinister Motives or something - Can't wait for that, and I delayed far too long to get my hands on Mad Titan's Shadow, so you can bet I won't make that mistake again.
As for Marvel United I am excited to get the X-Men Kickstarter, but I need to play more of what I currently have, maybe do The Infinity Gauntlet campaign again.
You know I haven't touched the Asgard, The Wakanda, and the Guardians of the Galaxy expansions yet?
Plus lots more in the KS Exclusives box to work through.
For the win, I found an awesome storage / display solution for the minis from the local K-Mart, so need to put aside some dollars for that.Spoiler (click to reveal)
Contemplating the Marvel Zombies Zombicide, we shall see what characters they release for that.

It's been a while since I last had anything to report Marvel-wise.
I had found myself at the whims of distraction and back interested in Games-Workshop stuff for a few months until yesterday when my Pre-Order of Mad Titan's Shadow arrived.
I don't really know why I took so long to buy this, especially as this was the expansion I wanted really badly for this game - Thanos and Adam Warlock.
It's a pity the artwork for Adam Warlock is so terrible - the artwork for his nemesis The Magus is good so why couldn't they have gone with that style?
I have played about 7 games since yesterday learning the Adam Warlock deck and struggling against basic Rhino 1&2 Bomb Scare until I did a little deck building and now I have a much better idea of how to use him.
I bought Marvel United ESPECIALLY just for Adam Warlock even though it meant going all in, and it turned out I love that game anyway.
There is this silly little dream I have of being the Avengers and assembling to face threats - ie playing Marvel Champions multiplayer and each player being a specific avenger.
I would be Iron Man, Spider-Man, or Adam Warlock.
But I've played one two-player game of Marvel Champions with a friend who had never played it before and boy did it sure drag.
Though if I had three friends who each had their own superhero deck and knew it inside and out - then Avengers Assemble!
It's not going to happen though, not very likely.
I can dream though, right?
That is why I love Marvel United, a much simpler and faster game for multiplayer.
I really wish and hope they do Adam Warlock for Marvel Crisis Protocol.
There are other figures I want right now like the resculpt of Spider-Man and Doc Ock, Amazing Spider-Man and Black Cat too, plus a whole slew of the X-Men, but I have spent waaaay too much money on miniatures of late in an ill-conceived Games-Workshop binge with Warhammer Underworlds and Warcry.
On the subject of Marvel board games, CMoN just spoiled their 50th KS with Marvel Zombies Zombicide - not sure how I feel about this, I love Marvel on one hand but don't feel enthusiastic about Zombicide.
Although it is apparently designed by the dude who did Bloodborne and that was brilliant for the most part, so we shall see.
But if there is an Adam Warlock included I am so screwed...
On Marvel STRIKE Force the App game I am ready to unlock Adam Warlock, just need to hope the Jubilee and Pym Tech Legendary Event comes first and then BOOM, Adam Warlock is as good as mine!
Thanks for tuning in True Believer!

Well, I just played my 100th game of Marvel Champions.
In my entire life, I don't think I have played any tabletop games at least 100 times, including AD&D Sessions until now.
I decided to do something different for my 100th play and faced The Wrecking Crew for the first time.
I had bought their villain expansion a long time ago but never made the leap to getting it played, it was an enjoyable encounter and one that I will have to play more often.
Also in my app game Marvel STRIKE Force, I finally unlocked the Legendary character, Ebony Maw.
This was a big deal for me because when I started playing this game and enjoying it, I paid dollars to unlock The Black Order characters and Thanos, but then found out that Ebony Maw couldn't be purchased, only unlocked by meeting the prerequisites.
I was a little disappointed when I got him, I had saved up lots of level and skill increasing materials to springboard him up there with my most powerful characters but instead had to use all those mats to increase the power of my Inhumans team which were the prerequisite to getting Ebony Maw.
But Ebony Maw has really shown his power, Thanos is a beast with the full Infinity Gauntlet!
Over 300 days of playing to get him.
Now to finish up my Milestones, I think I will play a game of Marvel United playing as Adam Warlock.
As you know from previous blog entries, getting Adam Warlock was the main reason I went Ultimate All-In with Marvel United.
Oh, and they are going to release Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch for Marvel STRIKE Force, Happy Days!
I might try to squeeze in a game of Marvel Crisis Protocol too...
**EDIT** Oh, and I bought the full version of the Iron Man VR game, getting my time trial from 7 minutes down to 1 minute 25 seconds!
Also, another thing I forgot, The Marvel Heroic Roleplaying Game!
I was working on a mod to make a playable game table with all the things needed to run a session of Marvel Heroic Roleplaying for Tabletop Simulator and it's nearly there!
Dice, Character stats, Miniatures in the form of Heroclix.
Just some more tweaks and I will be ready to run a game!

I missed the first Marvel United Kickstarter but was able to purchase a complete Ultimate All-In pledge from those great guys at The Games Steward.
Receiving this much content at once left me at a stage of indecisiveness, mostly because I don't have a storage solution figured out yet to combine all the miniatures and cards etc together for ease of access.
However the Infinity Gauntlet expansion self contains nicely so I decided to play the campaign out, because I have not organised the rest of my content I played the campaign using only heroes from the Base Game box.
Part 1 - Ebony Maw
Ebony Maw is a dark manipulator who can turn any heroic heart craven with a simple whisper.
In the game, he places Crisis Tokens on heroes and that causes that next hero's action card to be played at random, then you discard the Crisis Token.
The first three parts of the campaign have you fighting the Children of Thanos as they try to find the Infinity Stones for Thanos, this is done by shuffling the 6 Infinity Stone cards and placing one after the Sixth card, the Tenth card, and the final card in a villains deck.
So in a single session, Thanos can gain 0-3 Infinity Stones, if he gains all Six then the campaign is over and the heroes have failed.
The final part is facing Thanos with whichever Infinity Stones he has gleaned from the previous 3 games.
The Heroes have random Power-Up cards which they can earn in the first three games for use in the final game against Thanos, these cards grant extra actions.
But in my playthrough - Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel managed to defeat Ebony Maw before he located his first stone, I think luck was on my side.
On the bad side though, I didn't complete any Power-Up cards to gain extra actions in the final mission.
Ebony Maw, Defeated
This was the first time I played Three-Handed, normally when playing Solo I just use the SHIELD Solo rules.
Part 2 - Black Dwarf
Black Dwarf, also sometime called Cull Obsidian, is the unsubtle raw muscle of the Black Order.
He's tough and powerful and is basically an attacker, no tricks or subtlety to his actions.
Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man were able to defeat him but not before he gained the Reality Stone for Thanos.
In turn, the heroes were able to unlock two Power-Up cards.
Battling the Black Dwarf
Part 3 - Proxima Midnight
One half of the married couple in the Black Order, Proxima Midnight is a ruthless combatant who excels wracking up a body count, done in game by killing off Civilian Tokens to fuel her Slaughter Tracker.
If the tracker fills to the end, game over and Proxima Midnight wins and grants Thanos all three stones in her deck.
This was a very close game, finishing by defeating Proxima Midnight before she could fill the final space of her Slaughter Track.
Her last action before this point filled four spaces on the track.
Again Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man were victorious and gained a Power-Up card but in return Proxima Midnight had discovered the Time Stone for Thanos.
Just how close the heroes came to defeat
Part 4 - Thanos
This is it, the final showdown against Thanos with two infinity stones, but we have three Power-Up Cards.
State of the Infinity Gauntlet going into the last battle
The first move Thanos does is move onto all three gathered heroes and does 2 damage to each which immediately blunts our potential offense.
An early draw of the Time Stone combined with Ebony Maw gives Thanos three back-to-back turns.
Thanos then Bam'ed on Captain Marvel, killing her, and Black Widow steps up to take her place.
A perfectly timed Interrogation card by Black Widow puts the Reality Stone at the bottom of the deck.
Captain America gets killed by Thanos and is replaced by The Hulk.
The Heroes manage to get Thanos down to 2 health left, but then he Bam's on Black Widow doing 2 damage which was enough to kill her as she was wounded from a previous turn.
Thanos had killed three heroes and with that, I lost the game.
With only two health left on Thanos, it was so close!
Part 5 - Thanos, The Rematch!
Again, Thanos Bam'ed on my starting location immediately hindering my three heroes.
Got one mission card completed and held off completing the other two until the Reality Stone was drawn, and then went on the offensive.
The reality stone is a real game killer, your best hope is that it comes out early in the game before you have any missions completed.
Thanos killed Captain Marvel and Captain America who were replaced by The Hulk and Ant-Man, but the combined actions of Hulk and Iron Man defeated Thanos before any of those pesky Heal Thanos cards came out!
This was a fun challenge, and very satisfying to play, even more satisfying ending on a victory.
It was like the first attempt was the ending of Infinity Gauntlet and the rematch was the ending of Endgame, complete with Iron Man having the last word!

This past Wednesday, a fortnight after my Birthday, would see the delivery of my Marvel United Ultimate All-In pledge from the States via The Games Steward
As with Marvel Champions, I am stewing over a nice storage solution for this game.
On that note of Marvel Champions, I ordered the Iron Man playmat and The Rise of the Red Skull expansion too.
Also paid for my Marvel United X-Men Kickstarter but will have to save up and wait for the pledge manager to add all the good extra stuff I want.
Till next time, Make Mine Marvel!

It's been a while since my last post, which was my tribute to Chadwick Boseman and his sad untimely death.
Still touches my heartstrings when I see him on screen as he had so much still to offer.
Marvel Champions: The Card Game
Since my last post, I have played 18 games of Marvel Champions and this game has not diminished in the slightest.
I have bought more content for the game, but really haven't added it yet into my content.
Currently I have
- Base Game
- Captain America
- Dr Strange
- *Ms Marvel
- *Black Widow
- *Scarlet Witch
- Green Goblin Villain Pack
- *Wrecking Crew Villian Pack
- *Kang Villian Pack
* Denotes still in shrink and not incorporated into my collection yet.
Yet this game remains an absolute blast.
To be honest, I have spent 90% of my time playing as either Spider-Man or as Iron Man, I tested out a Captain Marvel deck for my wife and had an initial play of both Captain America and Thor to get a feel for them, but I always fall back on playing Spidey or Iron Man.
And it hasn't gotten boring yet.
In fact, playing as Spider-Man against Green Goblin, or Iron Man against either Klaw or Ultron really satisfies.
So much so that I haven't needed any extra content, but Marvel Champions is such a damn good game that I plan to get all the content once I figure out a really nice storage solution for it all and for years of content to come.
That lack of storage solution has been the reason I have held off buying more content.
Marvel: Crisis Protocol
I haven't done much on the miniatures front of Marvel Crisis Protocol other than bought some miniatures which I never got around to assembling nor painting.
- Ghost Spider and Miles Spider-Man
- Green Goblin
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
I am however very excited about lots of the releases, especially the new Amazing Spider-Man with Black Cat.
Need to get some more terrain happening and more painting done.
Still love this game and would like to play the Ultron All Will Be Metal Ultimate Encounter again.
Maybe if my wife feels up for it she and I can go tag team against my Dad again playing as Ultron.
Marvel United was a surprise, initially I wasn't too keen on it because of the chibis and not being allowed to back Kickstarter anymore so I missed the hype.
However it ended up catching my interest and the chibis grew on me, I think it was the Ultimate All-In's exclusive Adam Warlock that really got my attention as Adam Warlock is my favorite Marvel Character.
So I bought a complete Ultimate All-In pledge which is being shipped to me right now, but with over 2 months of waiting for fulfillment I bought an extra copy of the base game to tide me over in the meanwhile.
I was surprised about how much this game gripped me, I knew the game was simple but wasn't prepared for how much fun it was!
I had been blown away by how much fun I had with this simple game that it made me look at other games in a different light.
So my investment in getting a post-KS Ultimate All-In Pledge was definitely worth it, even more so when I got my wife to play a game of it with me.
She hurts a lot and cannot sit for long, so the combination of quick games with easy rules is a double win for gaming with her.
I am backing the Marvel United X-Men Kickstarter as my Birthday Present, and plan on going all out too.
In the future after this KS fulfills, I expect there to be a third KS including things like the Fantastic Four, Inhumans, Dr Doom, Galactus, Etc.
IN OTHER MEDIA
I am still binging Marvel movies via Disney Plus, its great!
Love that they have all the old cartoons too, it really takes me back to the 90's
I read Marvel Unlimited regularly though sometimes find myself at a loss of what great story to read next, currently I am regoing through the Avengers vs X-Men 2012 which is the base for the Phoenix Five expansion for Marvel Unlimited X-Men.
Still playing a lot of Marvel S.T.R.I.K.E Force, just unlocked the Legendary character Magneto, and hopefully will be getting Ebony Maw for my Black Order assuming Black Bolt's event comes up first.
Playing some Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 on the PS3 and Iron Man VR Demo on the PS4, those are always good fun.
Am currently short on cash but tempted to splurge and get either Spider-Man or the full version of Iron Man VR.
Man, I love Marvel!

Within the last week I had learned that Chadwick Boseman, the brilliant actor who brought the Black Panther to life on screen to me, had passed away from cancer.
I find I am still coming to terms with it.
Black Panther was never one of my top favorite heroes but I loved his presence in the MCU, you couldn't improve on what he did.
It was just so awesome, he was just so awesome.
It was a real blow to me, first I thought it had to be fake like when there was fake news going around about The Rock dying.
Then the realization hit me that it was true and the sadness has lingered because all too often such vibrant talent is taken away from us all too soon.
And he was only one year older than I am.
I will never be able to look at the Black Panther character again without automatically connecting him to Mr Boseman, and for the good of it as he truly left his mark.
Just breaks my heart seeing all those children performing little displays of their action figures in respect to someone they loved and admired so dearly.
Rest in Power, Mr Chadwick Boseman, you will be greatly missed.
BTW - I only ever saw him in one other movie, Gods of Egypt and I thought he was awesome in that too.

Jordan Roberts on the Marvel Crisis Protocol Facebook page posted this conversion and it is just amazing, jaw-droppingly so.
I've seen some nice conversions but calling this just 'nice' is so underselling.
It really dials up GhostSpider/Spider-Gwen up to 11 exactly how this awesome game deserves.
So special Shout Out to Jordan, you really made something beautiful here that captures the character so perfectly.
I am inspired to copy this, though it was an expensive conversion requiring three separate minis I believe, two GhostSpiders and a Malifaux one.

Things have been nice and Marvel'y.
The Wife and I tend to binge MCU movies often, our favorites being Infinity War and Endgame - love those movies, sure they differ from the comics but I like to think of them as their own entity and worthy of admiration on their own feet.
We had a three-player game recently of Marvel: Crisis Protocol with my father playing ALL WILL BE METAL, The Ultron Ultimate Encounter.
DAD - Ultimate Encounter Ultron
WIFE - Captain America, Captain Marvel, Winter Soldier, Vision
Me - Starlord with Power Stone, Rocket, Groot, Gamora, Nebula
It was a pretty brutal game, playing with the A.I can do some damage to you but having a human mind behind Ultron and directing his attacks is just sheer nasty.
He really singles out threats and neutralizes them as opposed to making attacks of opportunity at whoever happens to be in the wrong place at that particular time as he does via the A.I.
And I could not be more excited for this game!
Daredevil, Bullseye, Kingpin, Ghost-Spider, The X-men!
Some very promising new releases have been spoiled and it looks like a great time to be a marvel fan.
All I can hope is they will bring in Adam Warlock one day!
Thanos was kinda a given, particularly after his massive involvement in the MCU.
I was a fan of the Infinity Gauntlet story back in around 2005 when I was collecting Marvel Heroclix: Infinity Challenge – Premiere Editionand got Thanos in a random pack.
He was such a powerful character and I wanted to learn more about him, so a hardcore comic and toy friend lent me his Infinity Gauntlet collection and I have been hooked ever since!
It is so awesome that Thanos himself comes with almost everything you need for his Ultimate Encounter THE INFINITY GAUNTLET scenario.
It looks pretty brutal too!
Of course, I can't wait for Thanos to take his part in Marvel Champions: The Card Game, but I can see why they are holding off since most other villains pale in comparison to him.
I had a recent play of Marvel Champions, trying out Captain America for the first time, he was an interesting play but I definitely love playing Spiderman or Ironman instead.
But I will give him another shot later, I still haven't and won't tire of my two above favorites.
The other Marvel Gaming I have done recently over the last 30+ days is the app game MARVEL S.T.R.I.K.E FORCE which is quite addictive.
I've never spent $$ on an app game before but I wanted Thanos and his Black Order so badly I paid the cash for the bump up.
Kinda reckless I know, but I am enjoying this game.
It reminds me of old school final fantasy combat.
