Hey there Kickers!
It has been almost a year since I last posted an update. I hope that you have been able to find alternative means of keeping track of Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games in my absence.
I wanted to let you know about a project I have been working for the last year. Age of Heroes is an actual play stream where we are playing the original Shackled City Adventure path./pic6677265.png)

If you're going back to the (honestly cringeworthy) beginning, please know that we improve a lot as we go
Episodes 15, 24, and the vignettes (named after the characters and between episodes 39 and 40) are good jumping on points.

Hey there Kickers.
I come with sad news. It appears as if Kickstarter have made further changes to their site which make what I do here - what I have done for 7 years - impossible. I have looked for alternative mechanisms. I have reached out to them to see if there is any way that I can continue. All to no avail.
The time has come for Kick the Table to end.
I want to thank all of you for reading along and commenting, some of you from the very beginning back in December of 2013. There are 5431 subscribers to this blog, and you are the reason I kept doing this.
We have linked to nearly 6000 campaigns, and you all have followed links to those campaigns a little over 3.5 million times.
I hope that I have done some good. I hope that I helped bring some campaigns to light that would otherwise have been impossible to find. I hope that if you're reading this, there's at least one game on your shelf that you treasure that I helped you find.
Right now there are 510 live Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games category. I wish you all the very best of luck.

Hey there Kickers! How was your your week? Suddenly the weekend is gone and I'm headed back to work tomorrow. That was fast.
Right now there are 526(!) live Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games category (up 108 from last week and up 267 from two weeks ago!). Of those, 367 (69.8%) have already achieved their funding goal. However, only 50 (9.%) have related BGG pages that I can find.

You can see that next week last year is when we first started to see Covid-19 impact the launch of new campaigns. It's not clear what will happen this year. In theory, zinequest3 covers all of Feb, but to qualify as a ZineQuest campaign you need a 2 week project.

Hey there Kickers! How was your week? I have some bad news. This week, Kickstarter made changes to their infrastructure that broke all of my tooling around Kick the Table. This is not the first time that this happened, and it probably will not be the last time either. I have reached out to them to see if I can get some kind of support to keep Kick the Table up and running but so far I haven't heard back. I haven't had much luck with that in the past either.
As of now, I have assembled the list manually, but it is extremely time consuming and to be honest, not sustainable in the long run (There were 74 new campaigns this week). I will keep you all posted.
Right now there are 193 live Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games category (up 34 from last week). Of those, 106 (54.9%) have already reached their funding goal. 24 (12.4%) have related BGG pages that I can find.

Hey there Kickers! Welcome to the new year! I hope you all are coming back rested and ready to back some campaigns. You know... if there are any. Let's look shall we?
Right now there are 157 live Kickstarter Campaigns in the Tabletop Games category (down 12 from last week). Of those those, 73 (46.5%) have already reached their funding goal. Only 19 (12.1%) have related BGG pages that I can find.
I think I've already played more games in 2021 than I got to in all of 2020 after an 11-hour board game day on New Years Day. I thoroughly enjoyed The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine. We played the first 6 missions and I really liked the way the game evolves with little tweaks to the rules every mission. Horrified was fun too. It's simple enough that I think I could teach it to anyone, but still has interesting choices.
