if anyone is interested , i finally got extras poured and molded of my rubble bits like i used to base the guardian of targa . i have some up in my etsy shop if anyone is interested . also have the stalactites basing bits like i used for my goliaths there too .

so i started a YOUTUBE channel .
I only have one video at the moment , and its craptacular ! I was just trying the process out to see how hard it is to do a video , and uploading , getting the account set up , etc ...... , and to see what I need to work on for the future .
BUT its a beginning . In it I introduce you to PVC foamboard , one of my favorite materials to work with , and I show you how I carve it . This is the same technique I used for my guardian resin basing bits below .

OK , so first a bit about me , so you can understand just how excited i am to post this blog post ......
I work for the US Post Office as a temp for almost 5 years now ( the only way to go career is to be a temp and make it to the top of the seniority list ) . Honestly , its a horrible job and if i didnt have student loans i would gladly go to work at Walmart or McDonalds because from all the news stories i have seen , i wish i were treated that well .
Almost 4 years ago i was in a car accident that messed up my back neck and shoulders . i missed 3 weeks of work . when i came back i was on "light duty" which was basically them finding the worst job they could put me in that fit my doctors restrictions . When i complained that the work they put me in was making things worse not better i was told that it met the restrictions of my doctors release .
When I asked for another form so i could have my doctor increase my restrictions , i was told i could do my job or i didnt have a job .And 2 weeks later that moved me to a position that specifically stresses my back neck and shoulders . Even healthy people there end up with a lot of injuries to their upper body . but since i'm a temp i am expendable . While the career employees get their 40 hours a week , i have been saddled with 5-6 day workweeks of 50-60 hours . i'm worn out .
6 months later i herniated a disk in my neck that holds the nerves that go down my arms to my fingertips . i deal with debilitating migraines and have a hard time doing anything that requires fine manipulation like painting figures because of how bad my hands shake and that i drop things a lot now .
for the most part i couldnt game again until about 8 months ago . I can still paint , and model , but its sooooo much harder , and its also frustrating because i cant do it as well as i did back then .
so now that you know the context of my situation , you should be able to understand how big of a deal getting these things done actually is to me . i'm not happy with the paintjobs , but at least i got them done to table top quality sort of ............
SO THIS GUY I BOUGHT AT HOBBY LOBBY ON SALE . FIGURE IS SHOWN FOR SCALE . HE WILL BE A BOSS MONSTER "OLD KING TICK" .
I GOT THESE GUYS FINISHED , WANTED 3 SO I COULD HAVE MORE THREATENING SCENARIOS , SOME POSSE'S JUST SEEM TO WALK THROUGH THE GAME TOO EASILY SOME TIMES . THE STALACTITES AND ROCKS ON THE BASE ARE FROM MY RESIN BITS SET IN MY ETSY SHOP , IT TOOK LESS THAN ONE SET TO DO ALL 3
HAD THESE FOR A WHILE NOW , GOT THEM FROM SOME OLD COWBOY AND INDIAN PLAYSETS
SOME LITTLE BUCKETS I FOUND AT MICHAEL'S CRAFTS TO USE AS CASKS FOR THE HEROES
PROXIEING MAD SLASHERS FOR THE SPIDERS
VARIOUS HEROCLIX HORRORCLIX AND DREAMBLADE FIGS I AM USING AS READY PREPAINTED HEROES , ALL I HAD TO DO WAS REBASE THEM
MORE HEROCLIX HORRORCLIX AND DREAMBLADE FIGURES TO MAKE MORE BADDIES FOR THE GAME

AND THESE ARE SOME CARNAGE TOKENS I MADE AND FINALLY WAS ABLE TO PAINT . MY FLGS HAS A GOOD BITS BOX SELECTION , SO I WENT THROUGH GOT PLENTY OF BITS AND FIGS TO CUT UP AND ADD IN AND THEN CAST THEM IN RESIN TO REPLACE THE CORPSE PILE POGS IN THE GAME . I HAVE MORE FOR SALE IN MY ETSY SHOP .

My FLGS has a good “bits box” selection , so I go through it from time to time and pull out heads and arms and such that I think I can use for projects . Here I went ahead and used some heads and arms and cut up a few figs and such and made corpse pile tokens . I sculpted on green stuff as gore and filler so they would have lots of detail . then cast them so I could make multiples in resin . No 2 are the same in the set .
I will have more pictures coming next week , with one set painted up . This is the reject set because I found out I can only cast this set about 7 times before it starts tearing the mold , and this is set #7 , so ignore the pink bits (latex from the mold) . But the weather here is horrible right now , so I cant do any priming . I am just so happy with them that I wanted to share !!!!!
They are perfect for any game with zombies (to spawn from) or just to represent spots of carnage on the play space . I will be using them for a variety of games . I am pretty happy with how they turned out .
Each one is a little over 30mm across . The first one I made was on a base , after that though I decided to make them on roughly circular shaped plasticard to make them a little more natural and to fit in better .
The spares will be in my ETSY shop .
I will also be running a contest on the FB page to give away a set .

Every character in the game has a nitch to play , some are there to walk in guns a blazing , others are there to bandage the wounds and mend the soul as the posse faces unspeakable horrors in the darkness . Another member ,DANKSTA, began working on a snake oil salesman in the forums , but is going more of a front line combatant role for him . I just don’t see a snake oil salesman filling that role . They were hucksters , not fighters .
So I am working on a snake oil salesman that is geared more toward the role I see them as playing : The “face” man . The snake oil salesman is there to skim his cut off the top after each adventure , working on party finances more than fighting an enemy face to face , as such , many of his skills will be to support the team , and most of his XP will come from trips to town as opposed to fighting in the mines .
So some rules to set the stage so to speak .
Snake oil salesmen only get half the XP on loot cards .
SNAKE OIL SALVE ; Before every adventure the snake oil salesman may make a 6+ LORE test . For every 6 rolled he gains a free tonic , or herbs , or whiskey token for free .
snake oil salesmen may not duel wield weapons .
When this character is in the posse , anytime a snake oil saleman event is rolled on the travel hazards chart , the party still makes all applicable rolls , but ignores any rolls that would not result in a tonic token reward .
“Distributor” : when this character visits either the general store or saloon (if the “drinking buddy” or “flimflammory” starting trait was taken ) , they may sell a single item token to that establishment for D6X25 . make a cunning 6+ test . For every 6 rolled they gain an extra 25 gold from the transaction and XP equal to the amount the item was sold for over its list value .
When this character visit’s a town , roll a number of D6’s equal to its hero level . If 2 or more 6’s are rolled some one recognizes him as the charlatan who sold them snake oil previously , the snake oil salesman must either pay 25Xd6(per hero level) as a bribe to stay quiet or leave town immediately

Ok guys , so I just got the City of Ancients today , after falling head over heals for this game playing my friends copy off and on over the last 3-4 months . While we don’t get to play more than a few times a month , I still wanted my own copy so I could spend time here and there pimping it out with all the best pieces I could find to make the experience of playing the game the best it could be !
And even though I JUST bought the game , I have already been picking up pieces here and there to make it as cool as I can . This blog will be where I post my projects , finds , and ideas related to SoB .
