Hi all once again,

I have finished the Orc War Netters, both with Light Armour and without. The new models come in two different scales, 15mm and 35mm, and in four different colours, Green, Blue, Orange and Brown.

You can download the new models from https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... and click on ‘Orc Grunts armed with Clubs and War Nets’ or ‘Armoued Orc Grunts armed with Clubs and War Nets’.

With these new models done, that has finished off the last of the basic Orc infantry. Now I can start working on updating some of the other models, such as the Orc Saws, Trolls or Orc Chariots.

As the new Orcs are much bigger, nearly twice the size now, which makes them nearly the same size as the Trolls, the revamped Trolls will have to be much bigger to make them stand out from their Orc Beast Masters. However, I am considering cutting out the Trolls altogether, as they do roughly the same job as the Orc Grunts on the battlefield.

Perhaps I should shelve that question for now and instead move on to the Orc War Chariots, which I have a much clearer picture of in my mind’s eye. One, they are going to be massive. Instead of 30X60mm, the new Orc Chariots will be 40X80mm instead and pulled into battle by the new Zags, replacing horses.

Zags are Crocodile-horses, but they will be much bigger, about seven or eight feet from the shoulder. Part of my inspiration for these beasts came from the ancient crocodilian family, some of which were land dwellers.

I’m working on a new bit of art filler for the new rulebook, as shown underneath, and it’s what I imagine a Zag will look like.

The Rulebook
As for the main rulebook, it’s nearly done, and I’m hoping to get my proofreader to give it a final look over this weekend.

After that, it’s just referencing the page numbers and filling it up with art. It will also need the front cover revamping.

Here are some of the art filler I have been working on underneath.

And as they say, that’s it from me for now. Thanks for popping by

Post 24/03/2022 New Orc Warriors armed with Great Hammers

Hi all,

Well, I wanted to get these models out last week, but my car failed its MOT. In the UK, that basically means, no car. May my car rest in pieces, in the knackers’ yard. Being without a car has caused me no end of issues. The good news is that I’m back on the road again, which has freed up more time to work on these new models underneath for you.

The Orc Hammers that come with and without armour are in 4 different colours. To download them, visit https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... and click on ‘Orc Grunts with Great Hammers’ or ‘Armoured Orc Grunts with Great Hammers’.

Next, I will start working on the Orc Netters, which will be a good unit for fighting Elfs (that spelling btw is to do with the lore of the game), as agility is a big part of their save.

Also, a big thank you to my Patrons, past and present, I know things getting tight at the moment with the cost of living, so I really appreciate your support. Again thank you.

Hi all,

It’s me again and I return with more new Orc models. It’s been over a month since my last post, but I have created both the Orc Great Blades and Hammers. That’s said, I will only be releasing the Orc Great Blades today, as I have yet to set the Hammers to print, which I’m hoping to get done next week or maybe the week after.

You can download the new models at https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... and click on ‘Armoured Orc Grunts with Great Blades’ or ‘Armoured Orc Grunts with Great Weapons’ depending on which models you want.

Enjoy and thanks for popping by

Happy New Year Everyone!

I’m back with a short post, just letting you know about the release of the Armoured Orcs with Spears and Shields, which you can see underneath:

You can download the models at https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... and click on ‘Armoured Orc Grunts with Spears and Shields’.

If it was not for Christmas, I would have had them ready last week. So the new system for knocking the models together faster works quite well.

My next job is to create the Orcs armed with Two-Handed Weapons, such as the Great Blades and Hammers. That should take a bit longer, as I have to create these new weapons from scratch.

Thanks and that’s it for now, have a great New Year and see you again soon

Hi everyone,

I’m back with an update and this time it’s the Orcs armed Spears’ turn to be released.

As you can see above, I have created these new models in 4 different colours (Green, Orange, Brown and Blue), in different scales 15mm 35mm and in many different variants.

You can download them for free at: (https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod...) and click on the ‘Orc Grunts with Spears and Shields’.

With all the new units I create, I’ve also thrown in a new musician set to go with the unit, which you can see underneath.

External image

My next job will be to add on armour to these new models, which I’m hoping shouldn’t take that long, as I have thought up a new and more efficient system to create them quicker. Although, you never can tell with the holidays just around the corner when they will be ready.

Ok that’s it from me for now, have a great Charismas Holiday everyone, see you next year

Hi all,

I’m back with the next set of models for the Orc’s rostra of infantry, which are the Lightly Armoured Grunts, carrying Hand Weapons and Shields.

External image

You can download these new models at https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... and click on ‘Orc Grunts with Hand Weapons and Shield with Metal’.

Here are some pictures from our last game test, Herlanceians vs the Orcs. I played as the Orcs and got my ass kicked, sorry boyz. Tom played as the Herlanceians and took the pictures, thanks, Tom.

You don’t see too much of the new Orcs but the Men of Crack and Corn and Jigors are looking really good if I do say so myself.

There were a few things to take away from the battle, one of which is the Orc grunts are generally underpriced. ‘Soft Infantry’ needs reworking, which I have done and replaced with ‘Heroic Charges’. Oh, and Orcs aren’t too keen on War Hammers lol.

I have also started updating the Orcs’ rules and lore, to accommodate their new models. Here’s a new piece of art I’m working on, which gives you a taste of Orc’s society

I did wonder if I really needed to sensor the Iron Maiden, as they don’t produce milk and so don’t have breasts but just in case I have.

Next, I’m going to start working on Orcs with Spears and Shields, which should take a bit longer, as I have to create these new weapons and with each new infantry unit, I always create a new pair of Bannermun and Musician.

Ok then, thanks for popping by and hopefully I will see you next time, all safe and well

Hi again,

Just a quick post letting you know that the New Orc Grunts with Hand Weapon and Shields are out and ready to download at the link below:

Link: https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... (Click on ‘Orc Grunts with Hand Weapons and Shields’)

On a personal note, my productivity has slowed with my Dad being ill with Parkinson’s disease and suffering from a Water Infection. The good news is that Dad’s condition improved to the point where we could move him out of the nursing home and into supported living. That was great for Dad, but it fell upon me to sort it all out. So that’s why I have been a little slow lately.

Hopefully, now Dad’s sorted, things should start speeding up again.

The next group of models I will be working on is these figures ‘Armoured’ variant. Their armour parts have been created already, so they should not take that long.

Thanks for popping round

New Black Land Orcs Released Update 04-07-2021

Hi everyone,

Oh boy, working on the new Orc Template took a lot longer than I first thought it would, but I have finally fished, and here they are.

External image

External image

These Orcs with Two Hand Weapons come in two scales, 15mm and 35mm and four different colours, Green, Blue, Brown and Orange. I know the ‘Orange’ is an odd choice, but that colour is really from a failed brown skin, which I thought I might as well include anyway.

External image

I would have included a light armour variant of the Orcs with Two Hand Weapons, but that would take another week or so. However, the good news is the Armour is done and just needs adding to the models. So that’s the next set of figures I’m going to release.

As their hand weapons are done already, after that, I will add shields to the Orc template, allowing me to create Orcs with Hand Weapons and Shields fairly quickly. In fact, I have decided to stick on the Orcs for a while and update all their models, which should keep me out of trouble for a bit.

If you want to download these new models, you can for free at: https://printandplayfantasy.com/the-black-land-orcs-army-cod... click on the link ‘Orc Grunts with two Hand Weapons’ to download them.

Well, that’s it for now, and as ever, thanks for popping by

Just a Quick Post – PnPF Update 10-05-2021

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update today on my progress. For those who read my last post about my Dad, he is doing well at the moment.

The New Orc Model’s Progress
As you can see underneath, I have just about finished the front parts of the Models for the Orcs.

External image

External image

External image

External image

External image

I have lightened up the model by adding a light yellow tint to the Orcs.

Also, looking back over the model and how their different parts fit together looks like I have a few fixes to make, which I will do tomorrow. For instance, I’m not quite happy with that banner, and I may lighten up the Orcs even more. Otherwise, they are on track and should be finished by the time I post again, where you can download them for free.

The Main Rules
As for my progress on updating the main rules, I’m at the stage of getting them proofread, which is, of course, one of the final stages to go before Three Plains 3.10 is released.

At the moment, we are up to page 80. I’m hoping to complete this process in the next 3 to 4 weeks, but my proofreader, Emma, is doing this for free and has a busy schedule, so she can only manage about 20 or so pages at a time. Emma, you’re a star btw!

The Outcasts
As for the new Outcasts, Three Plains’ version of the Undead faction, game testing is going really well for them, and they are starting to feel more and more like War Hammer Fantasy Undead, which is what we are going for with this faction. So the Outcast is a horde of all manners of reanimated monstrosities, all working together in one force.

In my last game test with Tom, he fielded a Vampire Lord, a Necromancer mounted upon a Black Wagon, Shadow Swarms – Undead Bats, Meek – Crappy Skeletons, Scared Bones – undead Skeleton Warriors and Mounted Writhes.

Even though I lost the game (just outplayed by Tom), I was quite pleased with the feel and performance of the Three Plains’ version of the Undead. They are starting to shape up quite nicely. I’m really going to have start carrying more magic weapons that can deal with spirit!

The Outcast codex is still incredibly rough at the moment, but if you want to take a look at it, you can at https://printandplayfantasy.com/Forums/topic/the-outcasts-ne.... Version 0.003 is coming soon btw.

Well, that’s it for now, and as ever, thanks for popping by

‘I’m Back’ – PnPF Update 10-04-2021

Hi everyone,

I know my posts are few and far between, but this time, there was a much bigger gap. So I would like to thank my patrons for hanging in there during my radio silence.

The reason for my disappearance was due to my father’s illness coming to a head. Dad suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and he had a bad fall caused by a Water Infection.

Dad had done remarkably well coping by himself until now. However, after his fall, it soon became clear that he needed around the clock care. So I had to move in with him to look after him until we could move him to a nursing home.

The good news is Dad is better and doing well and now lives in a good home, and I’m back, mostly, as it’s fallen to me to sort everything out for my old man.

Back to the Update – The New Orc Models
Before it all hit the fan, I was about to post my progress on the new Orc models, which you can see underneath.

External image

I have chosen to create the new Orc base model using a modular system, which will save time in the long run, as I can just add on extra weapons, armour and limbs when needed to get a new set of models when needed.

The Three Plains Rulebook
Even though most things went on the back burner whilst looking after Dad, I managed to find some time to continue working on 3P’s Rulebook.

I’m happy to report that all spell checking and grammar is done. There are a few rules which need streamlining and then it’s off to be proofread. After that, it needs number referencing and then it’s pretty much done, apart from art filler.

Well, that’s it for now. Again thanks to my Patrons for sticking by me and see you again soon.
