Board Game: Paladins of the West Kingdom: City of Crowns

Publisher Garphill Games (Raiders of the North Sea, Architects of the West Kingdom, Circadians: First Light) has announced a new expansion for Paladins of the West Kingdom and it is titled City of Crowns. Originally published in 2019, the second entry to the West Trilogy by designers Shem Phillips and S J MacDonald ranks amongst one of the best solo game experiences of last year and so I am really intrigued by the premise of this upcoming expansion. As one might expect given the publishers pedigree, the artwork is once again penned by the one and only Mihajlo “The Mico” Dimitrievski.

“In Paladins of the West Kingdom: City of Crowns, noble allies have responded to the recent attacks against our borders. Only through careful negotiation and diplomacy will these dukes, barons, counts and margraves offer the aid we so desperately need. Will you be able to muster enough support to once again defend this great city, or will you crumble beneath the weight of indecision and apathy.

This expansion adds new extensions for both the main board and player boards. Players have a new attribute to manage and new actions available on each turn.”

At the time of writing there is no official information as to a release date, nor if the City of Crowns expansion is heading straight to retail. table for ONE will update this news article was more tangible information becomes readily available.
