Board Game: Port Royal
The Klemens Franz original
• In 2021, German publisher Pegasus Spiele will release a "big box" version of Alexander Pfister's Port Royal that contains all of the material released for the game to date, with the artwork being completely new, but with the symbols on the cards ideally being the same as in the current editions of the game so that players don't have to relearn the symbols in order to play.

In an interview with Spiel doch mal...! in November 2020, Pegasus' Klaus Ottmaier explained that despite the general success of the game line, with editions in twenty languages, the Klemens Franz artwork hasn't gone over well in some countries, so Pegasus thought it would repackage the game to make it easier for someone to get everything at once, while simultaneously creating a new look that might appeal to a different audience.

• In Q1 2021, German publisher AMIGO will release a special edition of Ken Fisher's Wizard to celebrate the game's 25th anniversary in its catalog. This edition will feature embossed metal coins and special cards that have not yet been revealed.

Other games coming from AMIGO include German editions of Emma Larkins' Abandon All Artichokes and Andy Niggles' Hoarders as well as new releases LAMA Dice from Reiner Knizia, CLACK! Family from Haim Shafir, and Silent Planet from Klaus Altenberger.

AMIGO will release details on these titles on January 4, 2021.

• On Dec. 3, 2020, Pearl Games showed off the new edition of the long out-of-print Ginkgopolis, with copies of the game "on their way to arrive as soon as possible at our distributors, then at your favorite stores".

• In a teaser newsletter in early December 2020, Japanime Games included a few prototype pics for Sushi Boat, a worker placement-style game from Dario Massarenti and Francesco Testini, designers of Momiji, which I wrote about recently.

In Sushi Boat, sushi plates slide around the board, eventually getting dumped, so you need to make sure that you grab what you need. I have no idea when this game will be released or what the published version might look like, but a deluxe wooden-board edition seems like an obvious choice given how good this looks...
