I haven't played a game in too long. Life has gotten in the way of one of my favorite hobbies.
Most of my gaming is done with my wife and with both of us raising a 6 year old and a 1 year old, gaming has taken a back seat.
One great thing recently is that my 6 year old son has really started loving playing games. He doesn't ask too often, but he does regularly ask to play Ticket to Ride: First Journey (U.S.) or Catan: Junior and I am really looking forward to him getting into a few other games, but in his own time.
I constantly pull out games thinking I will find time to get them played, so I thought this would be a good place to at least talk about what my brain wants to play. Here is a quick list of games I have pulled out recently.
Concordia - I haven't actually played this yet, but I did read the rules and it is my kind of game.
La Granja - One of my absolute favorites! I have never thought about what my actual favorite game is, but this might be it.
Castle Panic - I thought this might be good to have out to see if my son took a shine to it.
Back to managing my public radio station at the university and driving children around!
I am the GM of two radio station. I live in Texas. I love games. Not just games though. Lots of hobbies that I'm sure a lot of you love too. Comic books? Yes! Music? Yes! Cooking? not really. Juggling? Yes! See? I brought it back around. I really do love juggling! I want to talk about some serious things here, like why TVS. I also just want to give some thoughts on how gaming is going as a husband and dad of 2 with a more than full-time job. Do I only get to play one game some weeks? Yes. Is that one game sometimes Snowman Dice? Yes. But, even on a week like that, I still think a lot about games and still spend time on the best website on the internet. Seriously! There is not a better website for any hobby on Earth.
