The Coding Monkeys have just updated their universally acclaimed version of Carcassonne for iOS to version 3.00. What does that mean to you, our loyal reader? Well, the biggest addition is that the Traders & Builders expansion is now available as a $1.99USD IAP. They have also fixed some bugs and improved the reliability of push messages as well as making the scoring more approachable and user-friendly. Carcassonne is for iOS Universal, costs $9.99USD, and is available on the App Store.
Ticket to Ride iPad On Sale
Days of Wonder has put the iPad only version of Ticket to Ride on sale from $6.99USD down to $1.99USD. Ticket to Ride for iPad has never been this cheap, so if you haven't picked it up yet, now's the time to do it. Ticket to Ride is for iPad only and is available on the App Store.
Cafe International On Sale
Application Systems recently updated the iOS version of Cafe International to include asynchronous online multiplayer as well as a ton of other improvements including an auto-facing board for table-top play and iPhone 5 optimization. They've also just decided to put it on sale for 3 days only! Right now you can pick up Cafe International for $1.99USD, down from $4.99USD. I've been playing this one quite a bit, and am incredibly horrible at it. Really fun game, though, with a very good implementation. It has never been on sale before, so pick it up now! Cafe International is for iOS Universal and is avaialble on the App Store.
Scotland Yard Updated
Ravensburger Digital has updated their digital version of Scotland Yard to version 1.1. This update addresses GUI issues on the smaller iPhone screen as well as adds iPhone 5 functionality. It also has minor bugfixes and optimizations. Scotland Yard is for iOS Universal, costs $4.99USD and is available on the App Store.
A Fistful of Penguins Updated and Splits
Developer Crooked Smiles has updated their digital version of the dice game by Wattsalpaog, A Fistful of Penguins. Version 2.0 brings pass-and-play multiplayer as well as iPhone 5 support. There are also new achievements and bugfixes. Also, if you want to try the game for FREE, they released an ad-supported version, A Fistful of Penguins Lite. A Fistful of Penguins and the Lite version are both for iOS Universal. You can pick up the Lite version here, and the $0.99USD version here.
SolForge Info Released
We mentioned the SolForge Kickstarter this summer, and Brad even posted a video of the game from PAX. Now StoneBlade Entertainment (formerly Gary Games) has released a video of some SolForge gameplay which looks very intriguing. SolForge will be released for iOS and Android sometime in 2013.
