Among the best things in life is playing printed games in person with family and close friends. When those are not convenient we like iOS Board Games.
News, reviews, previews, and opinions about board gaming on iPhones, iPads, iPods and even Android devices. (iPhone board games, iPad board games, iPod board games, Android board games)
PAX East turned out to be an amazing and wild show. There were many people to meet and a lot of great news. We recorded more than 30 interviews of both board games and digital products. My overall impression was the strategy and tactical gaming is a big focus for many companies this year.
In order to manage the huge volume I have split the videos into three categories:
Smirk and Dagger Games We get an update on the upcoming Cut Throat Caverns app. Check out the video for full details. Cutthroat Caverns
Masquerade Games Last year Chris announced at PAX East that Epigo was coming to iOS and we had very early screenshots to look at. This year the game is fully playable and approaching launch. Check out the video to see the latest. Epigo
Tin Man Games It is always a pleasure to speak to Neil about the awesome things they are doing over at Tin Man Games. In the video below he lays out the future the Fighting Fantasy Series and a cool project with internet cartoon SMBC. You can learn more here.
Stone Blade Entertainment SolForge, Ascension Online and more discussed in a digital update from Justin Gary. I asked specifically about the transfer process for iOS users. Check out the video for details. Ascension: Deckbuilding Game, SolForge
Square Shooters This iOS version of Square Shooters looks very well made and is totally free. You can get the app here.
Magic 2014 Magic will again make an appearance on iPad this summer. Android will also be included this time around. Check out the video below for some glimpses at the game and some discussion of new features. I was happy to see an improvement on menu design, and I am looking forward to more Magic fun.
