After two weeks of all night games (not that I mind at all), we had a night of fairly short games:
First, waiting for everyone to turn up, we played Chrononauts, a game full of interweving complex strategies, easy forward planning and ... , ok, at that point I can't keep a straight face. This game is horribly random, and I like randomness in games! I won't ask to play this again, but might if everyone else is desperate.
After this, we found we had 6 players and only a handful of 6 player games, and only 2 that most people would play, 7 Wonders which we decided not to play as we had too long to play it, and Imperial which wasn't announce until we didn't have enoguh time. So we split into two threes, one played Hansa Teutonica, which looked stereotypically Euroy.
I was on the table that played Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game, a fun coop, which we lost on the last die roll (curses!). This game is tough (but then again it should be as a pure coop) and it seems to play quite quickly, we finished before the Hansa table, and I had a gander at what they were doing, it looked interesting, if it's a possible another week, I mgiht have a go at it.
After these, our 6 re-merged, and we played 3 games of 7 Wonders. Which should say a lot about it's replayability. But I've said enough about 7 Wonders in my other posts here.
I only get to game face to face on Mondays, so I'm thinking of getting into playing some games solitaire. What do people suggest is the "best" game (preferably from the games I own) to play solitaire?
Why (or why not) do you play solitaire?
