This is just a mini post, today's main post will follow later, but I saw something on BGG this morning and wanted to react. Some people ask me why I talk about culture and the way that board gamers treat each other and present themselves to the world. Through our collective actions, the things that we've chosen to show the world and the things that we've chosen to stay silent about this is what is supposed to appeal to us:

This really isn't something that should exist outside of parody. I'll do you a deal, I'll stop my occasional asides into talking about gamer culture when advertisers writing trash like this think "Best not pay to have this show up on boardgames forums, those folks are super hostile to this sort of thing".
