French have the Spanish on the flat here, and no running away victory either. Got off to a bit of an iffy start when the French cavalry move up straight into the arms of a Spanish cavalry charge. For a little while it looked like the Spanish Cavalry might get the better, but a Short Supply card took the Spanish Heavy cavalry out of the fight, and the French never looked back from there. French ended up with 2 Cavalry charges in a row, and another to spare in their hand.

Only French losses were over on the Right flank, where some poor attacks were bloodily repulsed.

French 6-3 victory (and only French victory of the day's gaming)
