Commands & Colors: Napoleonics Expansion #1 – The Spanish Armyhttp://www.ccnapoleonics.net/Maps/Peninsular-War-1808-1814/1...
The opening French bayonet charge on the closest artillery position when exceptionally well, the artillery eliminated for only 1 block lost.
The responding Hold & Fire also went exceptionally well, eliminating a unit & half of French Line.
I then gathered my French cavalry in the Centre for a decisive attack, and developed an attack on the Right. However, the cards weren't with me here, and for the rest of the game I failed to draw any Centre cards at all. Even so, French attacks on the Left & Right had me at a 6-3 lead before Brent played another of his insidious attacks. Using LGM to move his best Spanish infantry up adjacent to my depleted units, he cancels my reaction, and follows up with an Elan card to eliminate 3 units. My last efforts to claim victory can't hit, and he wraps it up with a final kill
Spanish victory 7-6
