Oi! Hands off...
Ben and Becky opened by teaching Bill the rudiments of Biblios (while trying to stifle the 'orrible smell of the cards), and we followed up with the excellent Wooly Bully - a game which Ben won by declaring early for his six-point bonus while correctly under the impression that his two opponents held more of each others' tiles than of their own.

Becky was keen to exact revenge on Tony for being beaten by a single point at Key Market last week, so she'd brought her 'pet' game (and one of three that she actually owns) along. Having dug out Keythedral, it quickly became apparent that none of us could remember the rules, so it turned into a bit of a four-way teaching and learning session. As usual, Ben was dissatisfied with the large amount of screwage in the field phase of the game, but when he actually gets around to winning this game opinions might change. One way or another, it's a smooth worker-placement game that we need to get out more on Friday nights.

We finished with Paperclip Railways - but not with any paperclips, oh no! Tony had brought his Expo demo 'giant' version of the game with him, and we promptly laid out a 2mx2m square 'board' on the floor. After a brief diversion from Daniel the collie, who clearly couldn't resist something as interesting as this, Becky proceeded to a convincing win. I reckon that Giant Paperclip Railways might actually add a bit over the small game - one of my frustrations with the original was the fiddliness and rule-of-thumb measuring which left the strategy forgotten. This didn't seem to be such a problem on the carpet.
