So, on Tuesday I went thrifting. I've only been a couple of times so far this year and turned up nothing.
Tuesday did the grocery shopping, then stopped by the vet. It was near the thrifts. Of course I had to go!
This is what I found as my first finds for 2014:
BLOKUS for $1.99
It was bagged! A good sign. Turned out to be complete and used, but still usable. It will be donated to my wife's school.
SCRABBLE X 2 --> for $1.99 each
So lovely. Lovely smooth older tiles. Yes, they will sell and hopefully pay for everything else and then some. Nice!
This is how I count them quickly. Too bad I'm slow anyhow.
Tagged and bagged!
Now to list them for sale....
STATIS PRO BASEBALL for $1.99
A collectible classic. The sales slip inside says it sold for $20.00 way back in 2003! It looks complete but.....
(oops, its sideways - sorry!)
....it has Rubber Bands. Rubber Bands are bad. BAAAAAAAAD!!!!! Its so sad But I was able to save the cards and other stuff. Yea!
(except that one above - it got a little mangled - but it survived!)
Ewwww, they're like dried up little worms!
I got it cleaned up and its now ready to go!
YIN YANG for $1.99
I took a chance because it was cheap looking - very cheaply made. Yet it is lovely. A co-op abstract from 1983! Imagine that!
Clearly I don't have enough time on my hands.....
It was a GOOD thrifting day!
Join me in my cozy little back room filled with games! Ooh and ah at some new releases. Learn about some more recent games. Or, look back at some older and classic games. From Euros to Ameritrash, kids games to grown-up games, easy to intense - nothing much is ignored in Matt's Board Game Back Room!
