Well, it's one shinier isn't it? ... Okay, why don't you just make five a bit more shiny and then that would be the most shiny? ... Because these go to six.
Hey there Kickers! Please forgive the mid-week transmission but I have some content you may be interested in.

Last weekend I spent 3 days at PAX Australia in Melbourne thanks to the team at Greater Than Games. While I was there I spent a little over half of my time demo-ing skirmish games of Sentinel Tactics: The Flame of Freedom. My very first game I played as Baron Blade and immediately teleported into the middle of my opponents and punched one of them in the face I got to see some epic things happen. Tachyon zipping around the board and drive-by slapping everyone on the way. Ra igniting into flames and cornering the Wraith (who up until that point continually slipped into the shadows whenever Legacy tried to hit her). Bunker pistol whipping someone with a grenade launcher. In one game Baron Blade and Legacy just ran into the centre of the map and stood toe to toe for 5 rounds exchanging blows. It was all pretty epic.

And the best part? I must have played 6 games a day for 3 days straight and I would happily play right now. A huge thanks to everyone who came and played with me and the Greater Than Games crew for having me there.

Anyway, while I was volunteering half of my time, the other time I was wandering around the expansive Tabletop area looking for Kickstarter related stuff to talk about. I met with people from MegaCon Games, Soda Pop Miniatures, and Japanime Games. All of whom were very nice but did not have anything to announce (although I did hear rumors about an upcoming Ninja-themed minis game from one of them).

I did get to have a chat with some Aussie designers about their upcoming kickstarter projects. First up we have Allen from Rule & Make. They just had a successful project for Rise to Power

Next up we have Jason from End Game Games. Jason had a successful kickstarter campaign for Hedron and is working on Ragnaroll which is a viking themed dice-based bluffing game of raiding your neighbors. I got to play a game and we talk about it in the video

I got to talk to Kim who designed the monster-chucking card game Monstrous. The gods are angry and so they are throwing (literally) creatures down to terrorize the human population, send them back into the temples and gather faith.

And finally, I got to demo a copy of Spirit Island a pure co-op where you are spirits of an island trying to push back invading colonists. Christopher Badell of Greater Than Games sat with me to talk about the game.

And that's all I have for you today. I had a blast and I hope I am able to attend next year as well. I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled BGG-browsing.
