Miniature Games Construction Yard

In this blog I'll talk about various miniature games. Custom miniatures and minor conversions are my favorite pastime. I'll cover scenery making and painting too. The WIP you'll see here is all about Necromunda, Epic 40,000, Warhammer Fantasy 5th Edition, Warmaster and Warhammer 40K 3rd Edition.

There are two workbenches in my house at the moment: the Norse are gathering in my living room, while at the meantime the desk at my man-cave upstairs is occupied by a Bretonnian army.

Just wanted to show you another regiment filler. So here are two pictures.

I was just short of 4 Men-at-Arms for this Bretonnian regiment. At first I was tempted to add a mounted knight in the unit, just like you can see on some metal miniature stands from the game Warmaster. (The painted knight can be spotted on the first picture.) But I went for a more cheasy option of planting a flag and adding some spikes. I really wanted to avoid to use Henchmen from Advanced Heroquest again.

Since the henchmen are all armed with defensive spears it's ok to give the unit filler some sharpened logs. It holds the same spikey theme. I'll also add an axe and tree trunk.
Half of the miniatures are disarmed and without shields. I delved into my bits box and found me some older Chaos shields which are a perfect match for the Men-at-Arms.
