Cthulhu Realms Makes Its Way to iOS
Cthulhu Realms has been available for a while on Android, but the iOS version has been dead and dreaming in R'lyeh. Apparently the stars are right, because earlier this week the iOS version rose from the depths and is now available on the App Store.

For those of you who prefer fhtagn-fhtagn to pew-pew, Cthulhu Realms is for you. Ostensibly Star Realms, Cthulhu Realms ditches the sci-fi setting for a Lovecraftian one. That said, if you're familiar with Star Realms, you can pick up the gameplay of Cthulhu Realms in seconds.

As a super bonus, White Wizard Games is pricing this version the same as they did Star Realms. That is, you can download it for free and unlock the full game for $5. Once unlocked, however, it will also unlock the game on any other platform. So, you don't need to pay twice to have on both your iOS and Android devices.

You can pick up Cthulhu Realms for both iOS and Android.

Pirates War Blends Monopoly with CCG Mechanisms, Entering Beta
If there's one way to get my attention, put Monopoly in the subject line when sending me an email. Oh, wait, I mean if there's one way to get me to delete your email without reading it, put Monopoly in the subject line. Oh wait, that rule is valid unless you also include the word "pirate". Then I'll read anything.

The developers of Pirates War apparently figured this out because their subject screamed Monopoly! but then they named their game Pirates War. They win.

Pirates War isn't just a Monopoly clone, however, it also uses CCG mechanisms in addition to Free Parking and Luxury Tax. That's really all I know about the game at this point, other than it also just went into beta. If you want to sign up and help test the game before release head over here.

Pirates War is a coming to iOS and Android at some point. Until then, watch the trailer and see if it might be up your alley.

Land 6 Comes to iOS
In another "it's been out on Android for awhile now, but still not on iOS" situation, we have Land 6 from Boardnaut Studios. Like Cthulhu Realms above, this is changing as Land 6 is now available on iOS as well.

Land 6 is a solitaire game that is a port of the cardboard game of the same name. The player uses dice as armies to defeat the vile Lord of the Cubes who has his own army on the board.

Boardnaut wrote:
Land 6 is a solitaire board game where dice are not just rolled. You use dice to represent your armies in different regions around Land 6. Each of 4 regions allows you to perform special action by decreasing value of your die. These actions are for example deploy a new army, move an army, and attack the Lord of the Cubes. Your goal is to place one of your armies with a value of at least 3 in the home region of the Lord of the Cubes.

As a solo game, there's no AI or online play to worry about. Land 6 is available for iOS and Android.
