We got Fall weather for more than a day and a half this year?

Abomination: the Heir of Frankenstein
Two of us tried out this new game based on a scenario happening 20 years after the events of the famous horror classic. Players are trying to create a new creature with the encouragement of the original. This one has worker placement similarities to Lords of Waterdeep and Champions of Midgard with a very interesting system for building and bringing to life the new creature, which must be done within 12 rounds. We had a blast with this game. Great theme, strong strategies, and just a good feel to everything.

World's Fair 1893
I had played this one some time ago, but never had a copy until I recently found one in a thrift store. I've usually had very good luck with "Mensa Select" games, and this one is no different. Area control and set collection combine with trying to stay a step ahead of other players to get the right combinations of goodies. We had two games today as the game plays easily in under an hour. I got beat both times, but the game is much fun.

Other games played today included: The Resistance, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Century Golem Edition, Sentient, Fury of Dracula, Hive, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Cyberpunk...
