I'm going to keep things brief today as I want to ensure I'm fresh for SPIEL '19 preparations and presentations:

Funko Games has teased a future Funkoverse Strategy Game release:

• Aaaaand the announcement above reminded me that I had tweeted news during Gen Con 2019 on the same subject matter as the item above, yet I had neglected to post about it in this space. That news: Ravensburger's next "summer blockbuster" title following Jurassic Park: Danger! in 2018 and Jaws in 2019 will be Back to the Future, with this being a co-operative dice game from Chris Leder, Ken Franklin, and Kevin Rodgers due out in Q3 2020.

• To continue with the topic of licensed games, on Dec. 1, 2019, Hasbro will release The Game of Life: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Edition, with this title marrying The Game of Life, which debuted in its modern form in 1960, and Amazon's TV series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which is set in 1958. I suppose that makes sense, but I'm not the customer Hasbro in mind for this game (despite liking what I saw in the first season), so my opinion doesn't really matter. As for what the game's about:

Quote:
The Game of Life: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Edition board game has players seeking fame and fortune during 1950s New York City. Maybe you'll get married, have kids, buy a dream home, go on vacation in the Catskills, and make it as a stand-up comic. Then again, maybe you won't. You could get divorced, bomb at the jokes, and end up in a dumpy apartment. Choose a path and find out what life has in store for you. The player with the most money at the end of the game wins — unless someone hits it big time in comedy!

• Let's close with yet another licensed title, this one being Jenga: Fortnite, with players spinning a spinner — yes, really! — to determine how many blocks you have to stack on top of the tower and how high your character will climb. Reach the top block without knocking over the tower, and you win! Must be played while being shot at continuously by mouthy teenagers.
