SPIEL '19 opens on Thursday, October 24, but plenty of people were at work in the Messe Essen on Tuesday, including the BGG team since we start livestreaming on Wednesday in order to get in a fifth day of broadcasting. (Livestream schedule here)

Here are a few pics I shot when not helping to set up the Geek Store or label GeekBuzz cards:

Making progress at 5-J122

Typical hall 3 shot with the lighting skeleton revealed due to missing banners

Another hall 3 booth, and quite a difference from IELLO's Gen Con 2019 booth

Some booths are more elaborate than others, as with the Jumbo Spiele booth being framed here

I can't recall anything like this ever being built in hall 5

Love this simple, yet arresting banner composition

Big Potato in hall 4 has elaborate wooden carnival tents; curious to see the final look

A far more typical shot of hall 4 as most small vendors set up on Wednesday

Martin Wallace is publishing again? Or renting space just to license his designs? Questions will be asked...

Funforge is giving Namiji a huge push ahead of a Kickstarter in Nov. 2019, mimicking publisher practices at Origins and Gen Con

A present for me in the Ravensburger booth as I'll be presenting the new version of The Castles of Burgundy on the livestream, similar to how I presented Carpe Diem at SPIEL '18

Our logomark game is strong; you can't miss us!
