Game designer, Steve Pearson, started playing war games in his teen years. This developed into a life long hobby. That hobby turned into a career.
After playing games for years, Pearsons first official game design was for college credit at Kansas State University in 1974. In cooperation with Richard Hopkins, the team designed "Extension of Policy" a hex based military-political-industrial simulation of international affairs.
Later, during his years in the military, Pearson designed and oversaw battle simulations at the battalion and brigade level. That experience led him to an opportunity to work as an army contractor as a war simulation specialist after leaving the military. Pearson continues in that role today in addition to his work in game design for Warcoach Games.
Pearson has since published 14 games and expects to design at least one new game per year through Warcoach Games.
