Peter Rindlisbacher (born 1956 in Windsor, Ontario) is an artist, psychologist, sailor, and historical naval reenactor. He grew up the son of a boat builder and a commercial artist and later obtained a PhD in psychology.
He is most famous for his oil paintings of the Great Lakes and War of 1812 which have been purchased by museums and historic sites and used as images for books, magazine covers, and television programs for The History Channel, National Geographic, and public television.
Rindlisbacher has been living in Amherstburg, Ontario, near Lake Erie.
His paintings were used as the cover artwork for the GMT wargame Mr. Madison's War: The Incredible War of 1812.
