Dana Lombardy is a game designer, author, researcher, consultant, cartographer, editor, graphic artist, and speaker who has worked on over 100 military history projects. He has designed over a dozen wargames and has contributed to at least two dozen more. In 1971, he founded SDC (Simulations Design Corporation) to publish his game Dunkerque: 1940. Kevin Zucker persuaded him to publish Conflict magazine. From 1996 to 2000, he was also a publisher of Napoleon Journal, an international journal devoted to the study of the wars of the French Revolution and Age of Napoleon. He has often appeared on the History Channel, including multiple episodes of Tales of the Gun. He has been an associate editor for Armchair General online.
