Co-designer and writer of a tabletop boardgame Oodles of Utils.
Luigi and I have been developing the tabletop game in Australia in the last 20 years. We are based in Brisbane, the subtropics.
Initially I came up with the idea of the game as I could not find one that included priorities and points other than money. It felt that the focus of many of the games like Monopoly only had a focus on being greedy about money. So, we developed Oodles of Utils with four set of priorities and points. (Money, health, fun and goodwill).
We developed the game to be both competitive and cooperative. We wanted a friendly and competitive atmosphere that encouraged discussion about priorities. We are now happy that the game is developed to the point that it is great fun to play.
