Born on the US Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan and raised in Kamakura, Richard F. Roszko grew up on Japanese anime and American television shows dubbed in Japanese. After moving to the US Midwest, he was introduced to the world of pre-release screenings and first release movies while working as an usher at a "Showcase Cinemas, a Redstone Theater" in Milan, Illinois.
While pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Richard founded a student organization that ran movies with a homemade 16mm dual projector change-over device. Other student groups ran movies for fundraising, Richard and his organization ran movies for the love of movies and film projection. The group strove to do so in the most professional way, and the audience appreciated it as they came back over and over for the flawless presentation.
After college, Richard directed and edited corporate training videos and later wrote and directed an enjoyable comedy short film, "Cliché." Richard went on to write and publish a science fiction adventure comic book mini-series "Dreadnought: Invasion Six". Not only was the series accepted and distributed by Diamond Comic Distributors, it became a top ten online webcomic. Accepted as an indie publisher on the first try at San Diego Comic-Con, "Dreadnought: Invasion Six" is available on Amazon as an eBook.
2017: Richard has accomplished "All Your Base: Last of Last", a monumental stupendous three-dimensional animated science fiction Steampunk comedy mock trailer parody spoof short film final-remake of "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" starring science fiction actors Colin Baker (Doctor Who #6 from "Doctor Who"), Cliff Simon (Ba'al from "Stargate SG-1"), Claudia Christian (Commander Ivanova from "Babylon 5"), Lizzie Roper (from the BBC Doctor Who radio series), and Terry Molloy (Davros of the Daleks from "Doctor Who").
