Not designed by Valentin Siena
Valentin Siena is a pseudonym of Friedrich Johann Gebhard (1919-2006) who became known as the German game pope. It appears that he "stole" the game from Maurice Kraitchik. Gebhard was just 11 years old - an unknown unimportant boy living in a remote area of Bavaria - when Kraitchik first described the game in his book which was published in Brussels. In the 1970s Gebhard pretended that he designed Tricolor.
