Information from Phil Bootherstone, February 2011.
A R Bootherstone was an airman in World War II, serving with 213 Squadron RAF, in North Africa. He designed his one and only game during quiet periods in the war. When he was demobbed, the design was registered and there it sat for over 30 years. His son, Phil Bootherstone (who is now a gameshop owner in Derbyshire) found the old designs and did some 'tidying up' before he made the published version. It was quite a limited print run, maybe under a few hundred.
