Didier Rouy, MD, PhD (c. 1961) is a wargame designer, scientist, and medical doctor who has lived in San Rafael, California. He is the former director of the publication Journal du Stratege and author of the eight Vive l'Empereur! series boardgames: Auerstaedt, Hanau, Friedland, Eckmuhl, Austerlitz, Leipzig, le Retour de l'Empereur on the Waterloo campaign, and Quatre Batailles en Espagne on the Peninsular war. He also made three volumes of a campaign system, the Flight of the Eagle, and a tactical game system, the Eagle Fights. Didier Rouy was the first President of the Cercle de Strategie, a club gathering wargamers from all over France. He has in California a group of old players who enjoy his campaign games, as they generate great battles on the table.
When he is not creating or publishing games, he is vice president of Clinical and Research in a biotech company in California.
