A professional artist and self-taught games designer. Managing Director and Lead Artist of Joyride Games.
Jamie graduated with a first class animation honours degree in early 2011, after art directing short film D’ARK, and moved straight into work in Glasgow, Scotland, where he produced assets, concept art and matte paintings for animations commissioned by large companies such as Capcom and Sony. In late 2011 Jamie created 2D assets for Sony’s PS3 game based on the Harry Potter books of J.K.Rowling – Book of Spells. In 2012 he launched a Kickstater campaign for a card game of his own design, Jackpot!, which was successful and raised a little over £5,700.
Jackpot! was released commercially in late December 2013. He is currently working as part of the art team at 4J studios in Dundee, Scotland, on the console versions of Mojang's hit game Minecraft. As mentioned on the Joyride Games Facebook page he is currently working on another two brother and sister games with working titles "Battle for Beanville" and "Hall of the Dwarf King" which feature pixel art reminiscent of that which he has been using on recent Minecraft projects.
