Malcolm Frederick "Mick" "Mickey" Uhl, Jr. (November 14, 1947 - July 14, 2019) was a wargame designer and developer and video game designer. He was the developer for Kingmaker, Wooden Ships & Iron Men, and Jack Greene's game Bismarck (second edition). As a board game designer and developer he worked for The Avalon Hill Game Co while as a video game developer he mostly worked for MicroProse Software, Inc.
Born in New York, Uhl had been a resident of Annapolis, Maryland. He earned masters degree in mathematics from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He had served in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included gaming, gardening, and bird watching.
Mick Uhl died on July 14, 2019, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. A family-only graveside is to be held August 20, 2019 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Maryland.
