Pierrot (Tamás Z. Marosi, 1969) is a Hungarian game designer who is also a pop singer-songwriter and music producer.
Pierrot established himself as a game designer with his point-and-click PC adventure game series AGON (The Mysterious Codex, The Lost Sword of Toledo) about a British professor travelling around the world in search of ancient board games. The series was created by his development company Private Moon Studios. Yoomurjak’s Ring, an award-winning interactive-movie adventure game is also his production.
Pierrot has designed a number of tabletop board games. In 2012 he released a playable book with 24 ancient, abstract strategy board games; some of these, such as the Royal Game of Ur and Alquerque have been also adapted to iPad. He has also created unique board games for special purposes.
In 2016, Trefl releases Pierrot’s first commercially available tabletop board game in Hungarian, titled Destination: Treasure Island (Irány a Kincses Sziget).
The concepts, game design and most of the graphics are the work of Pierrot himself.
