Dunnigan's LEIPZIG (1969) introduced this simple Napoleonic grand tactical system. It emphasizes maneuver, concentration, and supply. Leaders help combat. There are also fortress rules. There are simple political rules such as the truce that Napoleon may call in LEIPZIG, Prussian neutrality in LA GRANDE ARMEE, Central European unrest in 1812. Maps seem plain but are not featureless. The 1812 game includes 2 games, one which follows this system and one that does not.
