The March into Battle series is a low level operational/grand tactical system for 19th century campaigns based on Hampton Newsome's At All Hazards. It is particularly suitable to not only showing the course of a campaign over one or two weeks, but also permits playing a large multi-day Napoleonic or ACW battle in a single evening while reflecting historically sound battle strategy and planning.
The rules exist in two versions, a mid-19th century (ACW) version and a Napoleonic version (titled Formations et Reglements pour Operations et Manoeuvres, or FROM).
Units are Divisions.
1000 men per strength point.
ACW: 1/2 mile per hex. Napoleonic: 1km per hex.
3.5 hours per daylight turn (4 daylight, 1 night turn per day)
