Playmore Games was founded by two enthusiastic board game designers from Finland, Jouni Jussila and Tomi Vainikka, in 2014. A year later they made a debut with their first board game Race to the North Pole.
The already innovative game featuring a rotating game board could also be enhanced digitally through the smart device application called Dized. The optional application provided an interactive tutorial supplementing the traditional rulebook, as well as added more content, mechanics and replayability.
Currently the company is focusing on the further development of Dized, which is going to become a universal plaform with interactive tutorials for board games, quick rule lookup tool and community features. The mission of Dized is making hobby games more accessible for newcomers and shortening the time needed to bring a new game to the table, by guiding players step by step through the setup and the first play, allowing them to learn the rules at their own pace.
In 2017 a crowdfunding campaign was organized on Indiegogo, that ended at over 300% of the funding goal, and the app launch is scheduled for August 2018.
