Gathering, taking a break, and having fun. This is what motivates the Randolph team every day.
The Randolph Gaming Pub opened its doors in July, 2012. The Montréalais concept was created by four gamers: the actor Normand D’Amour and his three associates, Justin Bazoge, Joël Gagnon, and Benoît Gascon. Their mission: Make advances in innovation in the domain of modern gaming by offering a meeting space where seasoned animators promote gaming and social interaction in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
In 2013, The Randolph expanded its services with Randolph Animation, the branch that handles all the gaming activities outside the Randolph Gaming Pub.
In 2014, The Randolph Boutique saw the light of day at randolph.ca.
The name of the pub pays homage to Alex Randolph, the father of modern game design. Randolph was one of the first to take an interest in creating games in a professional fashion, in the 1960s–1970s. His vision inspired a whole new generation of game designers who still follow in his footsteps today. Ask to play Ricochet Robots, Enchanted Forest, Twixt, Stupide Vautour (Raj), or even Ciao Ciao… these are some of the best games in the Randolph Collection.
