Comet is a non-profit organisation in Japan, using boardgames and play to build community spirit. They are now publishing, starting with a game called Hananowa.
"We are a Japanese dojin circle. We try to create a NEW community with board games. Our circle started in 2011. Following the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami on 11th March 2011, many Japanese people were shocked and perceived importance of ties. We thought board games can make people happy and friendly. Our game's concept is "Anyone can enjoy it". Not so difficult, and not so complicated. But, it's enjoyed by any age or nationality, even as for the person with a handicap."
