Thanks for reading our history, although its not the most exciting. Ionif was actually started in March of 2008 to design online software for nonprofits. What started out as an ambitous foray into the online gaming industry slowly ended up being a costly and unproductive lesson of sorts. Some time around the end of 2008, owner Kurt Bieg attemped to recoup some finacial losses for Ionif by designing and selling original card games. During an initial beta testing session of some concepts, he was introduced to a game that Charlie and Jeff LaGreca (of Burger Boy Productions) had been working on. It was an "Obama" card game concept.
At the time, the 2008 election had already wrapped, but even though it seemed as if the window of interest had already passed for an Obama game, the three teamed up to give it a chance. A few weeks later Kurt Bieg provided the game design, Charlie LaGreca illustrated, and Jeff LaGreca provided content and satire for the cards.
Since then, the three have been blazing a trail on the internet, in NYC, and around the globe trading stories about the election and spreading the positive spirit that surges around our next president, Barack Obama.
The three are already planning their next card game and hope to be able to continue to make people laugh, play, and have fun!
