Description Edit | History

Published by University Games and licensed by Eddie Bauer, Road Trip is a card game which sees players or teams embarking on a trip of exactly 555 miles. Players can make progress by playing mileage cards in their own areas, or hamper others by placing hazard cards in their opponents' areas. The winner is the first player or team to collect 555 miles in mileage cards in the correct combination.

While very similar to Mille Bornes, Road Trip has several differences. Missing are the safety cards and Coup-Fourrés. Games are not scored over several trips, but end immediately when one player or team reaches the goal. The hazards are similar, but can actually remove mileage cards previously played. The biggest difference is in the goal -- to win the game the players or teams must collect mileage cards in the proper combination. It is not enough to achieve 555 miles, but one must do so with the proper combination of mile progress cards - six 25, three 35, three 50, and two 75 miles.

The 100 card deck comes in a small metal tin. University games noted on one side flap of tin and at the bottom of the rules with a 2004 copyright date.
