(From the box)
Originally created in 1966 and featured in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, this chess set features pieces designed to reflect their relative importance and how they move across the board. The mass of each piece indicates its level of influence, while the form of each piece reflects its range of mobility. When not in use, the 32 pieces interlock for compact storage. Chessboard not included. Made of cherry and maple wood.
