Philosophen MemoSpiel / Philosophers memory game
The 200th anniversary of the death of Immanuel Kant was commemorated in February 2004. With the media partnership of the television broadcasting station 3SAT, we have taken this occasion to remember the prominent philosopher as well as numerous other great Western thinkers in a playful way through the Philosophen MemoSpiel.
Through the portraits of the most significant Western philosophers – from Thales to Habermas – the history of western thinking can be discovered in an entertaining way. A helpful booklet that explains the basic issues of each featured philosopher in a concise way accompanies the game to encourage further reflection on the presented topics.
The Philosophen MemoSpiel is aimed at anyone who is interested in philosophy or has always intended to deal with it but shied away from accessing this occasionally heavy mental fare. Experts such as philosophy students and professors will also have fun with this entertaining memory training, which provides an alternative to the purely scientific interaction with the ideas of Plato, Rousseau or Gadamer.
