Description Edit | History

This circa 1922 +/- 2 years version of the Dorr box is origin for the first Parker version of the game. Obviously Parker used this same artwork after initially acquiring the game.

There is the word Touring in script letters in the center of the box top. The upper half is a street scene with houses in the background. On the road in front of the houses there is a policeman on a motorcycle on the left and a yellow roadster throwing up dust on the right.

Below the word touring is more of a rural scene with a boy leading a mule which is pulling a open topped car. A farmer in a red shirt and yellow hat is along side the car as is a man in a brown coat. Two folks in yellow slickers are behind the car.

Across three slats of a yellow wooden fence are the three phrases "Manufactured by", "Wallie Dorr, Company", and "New York, USA".

Dating
The circa 1922 date is an educated guess based on spacing out 3 Wallie Dorr versions between 1914 and 1924. This was definitely the 3rd Wallie Dorr edition.
