Description Edit | History

The box top for this version of the game has an open sided, roofed touring car traveling from right to left on the box top. Scene appears to be mountainous terrain with a couple of isolated houses/farms. The graphic style for the top was used from 1925 to 1936. There was a new box graphic in 1937.

The earlier version of this box art the word "Touring" on all four of the side flaps as shown below on the left. This veriosn, on the right, has plain, very light turquoise side panels instead of panels. The art on the box top seemed to change only very slightly. The major difference being that the "road" for the car changed to a more pinkish color.

This version of the box has been sold on ebay with rules which have the image header and the 99 card count on page 1. Thus this is a late version of the basic box art that was used between 1925 and 1936. This version also seems relatively rare so 1935 would seem a reasonable estimate as to when this version of the game was published.
