Description Edit | History

Arms and Armaments of the Civil War Card Game. The following information has been taken from the rules card:

The object of the game is to obtain complete books by calling for cards from other players.

The game consists of 52 cards divided into 13 books of 4 arms/armaments. To win the game players need to collect the most number of books.

The deck is shuffled and players are dealt 4 cards. Start player to the left of dealer begins by calling on any other player for a card that will help complete a book for which they hold one or more cards. If the player called upon has the desired card they give it to the caller who continues calling until they fail to receive another desired card. The caller then draws a card from the top of the deck. The turn passes to the player to their left who continues as before. When a player gets a complete book they lay it aside. When all the cards have been gathered into books, the game ends. The player having the most books wins.
