User summary:

The original German edition of Bohnanza from AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit GmbH was for 3-5 players. This Uwe Rosenberg classic was the start of a long line of "bean games". The title and most of the beans in the game are word plays: Bohn is German for "bean", so of course Bonanza becomes Bohnanza. Blaue Bohne (blue bean) is, like slug in English, a slang term for "bullet", which ties in beautifully with the Bonanza theme.
